Up for sale is an all handmade 20mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
The glove used for this strap was a Brooks Robinson autograph Rawlings baseball glove. It’s said that they named a candy bar after Reggie Jackson, but people in Baltimore named their kids after Brooks Robinson. He played his entire 23-year career in Major League Baseball as a third baseman for the Baltimore Orioles from 1955 to 1977. He is generally considered to have been the greatest defensive third baseman in major league history. Among his numerous career highlights, he was an 18 time All Star, AL MVP, World Series MVP, won the gold glove 16 times, is in the Orioles Hall of Fame (with his #5 retired) and a member of the All Century Team.
This baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 72 mm x 123 mm x ~4.2 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with black Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available.
This strap features the “Finest in the Field” logo on the short side and the “Brooks Robinson” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one floating keeper “Rawlings”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
