Military issued canvas duffle bags are the one constant in the life of an enlisted soldier. Where they go, the bag goes.
The two piece straps are rolled canvas straps. Each strap comes with a large floating keeper, usually featuring the Dos Equis (double X) stitch on top. I find that this keeper design reduces bulk and is much more secure compared to a butt stitch which other strap makers typically use.
The nato-style straps shown are a half-rolled design with one “live edge”. Over time, there will be a small amount of fraying. I haven’t seen anyone make a nato like this, so I did.
