20mm George Kell Baseball Glove Watch Strap Detroit Tigers Omega Sinn

Up for sale is an all handmade 20 mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.

The glove used for this strap was a vintage George Kell baseball glove.  Kell played in MLB from 1943 to 1957 most predominantly for the Detroit Tigers.  He was a 10 time All Star and hit 0.300 for 9 straight seasons.  For his career he hit 0.306 and led the league in fielding percentage at third base, 7 times.  While lacking homerun power, he was an amazing contact hitter.  He struck out only 287 times in 6702 at-bats, which averages out to 26 strikeouts per 162 games.

This incredibly soft baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 78 mm x 130 mm x ~3.2 mm thick.   I saddle stitched this strap with cream Tiger thread - the best waxed polyester thread available.  Edges were burnished smooth.  

This strap features the “Professional” logo on the short side and the “George Kell” autograph on the long side.  The strap comes with one floating keeper “Wilson Made in the USA”.  The first hole is 50mm from the lug end.  Extra holes can be punched upon request. 

The strap comes with a custom stainless steel Mott screw-in Pre-V style buckle.  I also have custom Mott bronze buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge.  If not specified, the strap will ship with a steel buckle as shown.  

Sizing:  Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick.  If you’re on the fence, I suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.  

Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches.  I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance.  Please ask before purchasing.
