Up for sale is an all handmade 20mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
The glove used for this strap was a Mel Stottlemyer autograph Spalding baseball glove. He played for 11 seasons in Major League Baseball, all for the New York Yankees, and coached for 23 seasons, for the Yankees, New York Mets, Houston Astros, and Seattle Mariners.
This baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 78 mm x 110 mm x ~4.0 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with black Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available.
This strap features “Split Action Web” on the short side and the “Mel Stottlemyre” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one large floating keeper, “Autograph Model”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
