Up for sale is an all handmade 20mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
The glove used for this strap was a very faded, Mickey Mantle Rawlings baseball glove. Mantle nicknamed "the Mick" and "the Commerce Comet", was an American professional baseball player who played his entire Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees, primarily as a center fielder. Mantle is regarded by many as being one of the best players and sluggers of all time. Among his many highlights, he was a 20x All Star, 7 time World Series Champion, 3x AL MVP, and 4x AL Home Run leader.
This baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 72 mm x 126 mm x ~3.9 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with red Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available.
This strap features the Rawlings logo on the short side and the very faded “Mickey Mantle” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one floating keeper “100% Nylon Sewn”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug end. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
