20mm Ted Williams Baseball Glove Leather Watch Strap Red Sox Omega Sinn Doxa

Up for sale is an all handmade 20 mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap. 

The glove used for this strap was a vintage Ted Williams baseball glove.  I’m calling this the “Vanishing Logo” strap as the glove’s logos were pretty faded, but I was able to capture the best of them.  After making the strap, I conditioned it with Ball Player’s Balm conditioner which enhanced the logos and of course made it even softer. 

Ted Williams was a Major League baseball player for the Boston Red Sox and then a manager for the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers.  Among his many accolades, he was a 19 time All Star, 2 time MVP, 2 time Triple Crown winner, 6 time batting champion, 4 time Home run leader, 4 time RBI leader and holds the MLB record 0.482 career on-base percentage.  He is in the Red Sox Hall of Fame and his #9 is retired.  He’s also in the Padres Hall of Fame and was voted MLB All-Century and All-Time Team. 

This super soft baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 82 mm x 130 mm x ~4.0 mm thick.   I saddle stitched this strap with red Tiger thread - the best waxed polyester thread available.  Edges were burnished smooth.  

This strap features the “Pro Pocket” logo on the short side and the faded “Ted Williams” on the long side.  The strap comes with one floating keeper “Signature Model”.   The first hole is 50mm from the lug end.  Extra holes can be punched upon request. 

The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle.  I also have custom Mott bronze buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge.  If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.  

Sizing:  Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick.  If you’re on the fence, I suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.  

Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches.  I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance.  Please ask before purchasing.
