Up for sale is an all handmade custom order 20mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
This one of a kind baseball glove strap was made from a harder to find Willie Mays autograph baseball glove. Willie Howard Mays Jr., nicknamed "the Say Hey Kid", was an American professional baseball center fielder who played 23 seasons in Major League Baseball. He is widely considered the best baseball player of all time. His stats are hard to fathom: 24x All Star, 2x NL MVP, 12x Gold Glove winner, 4x NL Home Run leader, 4x NL stolen base leader… it just keeps going. He’s part of the San Francisco Giants Wall of Fame, and was elected to the MLB All Century and All Time Teams.
This baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 79 mm x 129 mm x ~4.9 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with orange Tiger thread, the best waxed synthetic thread available. This strap features the “Willie Mays” autograph on the short side and the “Pro Model” logo on the long side. The strap comes with one floating keeper “MacGregor”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
