22mm Johnny Walker Handmade Baseball Glove Watch Strap Panerai Omega ~80/125
Up for sale is an all handmade 22mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
The glove used for this strap was a Johnny Walker baseball glove. From 1960 to about 1977, the Johnny Walker Brand of sporting goods was distributed through Gibson's Discount Centers, and associated franchisee discount stores doing business under different names. The company imported athletic equipment which included; Fishing gear, Volley ball sets, Tennis rackets & balls, footballs, baseball gloves and baseballs.
This baseball/softball glove strap measures 22mm (no taper), 81 mm x 125 mm x ~5.0 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with red Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available.
This strap features “Professional Model” on the short side and the “Full Grain Cowhide” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one floating keeper, “Johnny Walker”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
