22mm "The Shovel" Baseball Glove Watch Strap Spaulding Steerhide

Up for sale is an all handmade 22mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.

The glove used for this strap was a really unique Spaulding “The Shovel” baseball glove.  This glove is certainly not your typical glove, which is why it’s so awesome.  I’ve handled a lot of gloves and this is the only “Shovel” glove I’ve come across in the 5 years I’ve been making baseball glove watch straps.

This incredibly soft baseball glove strap measures 22mm (no taper), 77 mm x 128 mm x ~5.3 mm thick.   I minimally stitched this strap with red Tiger thread - the best waxed polyester thread available - to highlight the unique lettering and the steer’s head on the strap.  Edges were burnished smooth.  

This strap features the steer’s head on the short side and “The Shovel” on the long side.  The strap comes with one floating keeper: “Spaulding”.  The first hole is 50mm from the lug end.  Extra holes can be punched upon request. 

The strap comes with a custom stainless steel Mott screw-in Pre-V style buckle.  I also have custom Mott bronze or PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge.  If not specified, the strap will ship with a steel buckle as shown.  

Sizing:  Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick.  If you’re on the fence, I suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.  

Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches.  I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance.  Please ask before purchasing.
