Up for sale is an all handmade custom order 24mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
This one of a kind baseball glove strap was made from an Al Kaline autograph baseball glove. Albert William Kaline, nicknamed "Mr. Tiger", was an American professional baseball right fielder who played his entire 22-season career in Major League Baseball for the Detroit Tigers. For most of his career, Kaline played in the outfield, mainly as a right fielder where he won 10 Gold Glove Awards and was known for his strong throwing arm. He was selected to 18 All-Star Games, was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980 in his first year of eligibility and his #6 is retired by the Tigers.
This baseball glove strap measures 24mm (no taper), 80 mm x 133 mm x ~4.5 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with red Tiger thread, the best waxed synthetic thread available. This strap features the “Al Kaline” autograph on the long side while the rest of the strap shows the amazing patina of the glove. The strap comes with one large floating keeper. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
