24mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap Rusty Staub Rawlings Panerai Kaventsmann Ennebi

The glove used for this strap was a Rusty Staub Autograph edition Rawlings baseball glove.  Staub played for various teams including the Houston Astros, Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Detroit Tigers, and Texas Rangers. He was a 6 time All Star, is in the New York Mets Hall of Fame, and had his #10 retired by the Montreal Expos.

This baseball glove strap measures 24mm (no taper), 83 mm x 124 mm x ~6 mm thick!  I saddle stitched this strap with black Tiger thread - the best waxed polyester thread available.  Edges were burnished smooth.

This strap features “Rawlings” on the buckle side and “Rusty Staub” autograph on the long side.  The strap comes with one large floating keeper: “Finest in the Field”.  The first hole is 50 mm from the lug end.   Extra holes can be punched upon request.

The strap includes a custom Mott stainless steel pre-V style screw-in buckle.  I can swap out the buckle to a custom Mott screw-in bronze buckle or a generic PVD buckle at no charge.  Just let me know upon checkout.

Sizing:  Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick.  If you’re on the fence, I suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.

Why Baseball Glove Straps?

Baseball gloves are soft, thick and only get better with time. What better material to make into a watch strap?! The glove and thus the strap is soft yet durable and has acquired patina and character during its lifetime.

The strap is made 100% from the glove it came from, making each strap a limited edition!  Mott Straps is the only strap maker using the glove for the entire strap - even the bottom layer.  You get the look and the feel of a baseball glove with a Mott Strap.

The softness of glove leather makes the thickness work well on any watch, but especially with larger watches such as Panerai, Kaventsmann, Ennebi, Omega, etc.
