Up for sale is an all handmade 24mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
I made this strap from a vintage Billy Pierce autograph baseball glove. Billy Pierce played most of his career for the Chicago White Sox. He was the team's star pitcher in the decade from 1952 to 1961, when they posted the third best record in the major leagues, and received the Sporting News Pitcher of the Year Award for the American League (AL) in 1956 and 1957 after being runner-up in both 1953 and 1955. A seven-time All-Star, he led the AL in complete games three times despite his slight build, and in wins, earned run average (ERA) and strikeouts once each.
This baseball glove strap measures 24mm (no taper), 78 mm x 129 mm x ~4.4 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with red Tiger thread, the best waxed synthetic thread available. This strap features “Made in USA” on the short side and the “Billy Pierce” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one large floating keeper. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
