Up for sale is an all handmade 24mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
This one of a kind baseball glove strap was made from a Bobby Bonilla autograph baseball glove. Bobby Bonilla is known nowadays for the historically bad contract that the NY Mets agreed to, that pays him over a million every year until 2035. It literally makes news every year on July 1. But during the late 1980s and early 1990s he was one of MLB's best batters and overall top players with powerful hitting strength for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bonilla recorded impressive statistics in home runs, RBIs, doubles, extra base hits, and Wins Above Replacement averages. He was a six time All-Star, and won the Silver Slugger Awards three times.
This baseball glove strap measures 24mm (no taper), 83 mm x 135 mm x ~4.2 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with black Tiger thread, the best waxed synthetic thread available. This strap features the faded “Rawlings” logo on the short side and the “Bobby Bonilla” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one large floating keeper, “Rawlings”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
