Up for sale is an all handmade 24mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
The glove used for this strap was a Willie Mays autograph MacGregor baseball glove. Mays
Willie Howard Mays Jr., nicknamed "the Say Hey Kid", was an American professional baseball center fielder who played 23 seasons in Major League Baseball. He is widely considered the best baseball player of all time. His stats are hard to fathom: 24x All Star, 2x NL MVP, 12x Gold Glove winner, 4x NL Home Run leader, 4x NL stolen base leader… it just keeps going. He’s part of the San Francisco Giants Wall of Fame, and was elected to the MLB All Century and All Time Teams.
This baseball glove strap measures 24mm (no taper), 78 mm x 127 mm x ~5.0 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with black Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available.
This strap features “MacGregor” on the short side and the “Willie Mays” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one floating keeper, “Autograph Model”. The first hole is 55mm from the lug. Normally I start at 50mm, but I wanted to preserve more of the autograph. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
