26mm Horween Baseball Glove Red Black leather strap Panerai Kaventsmann Grand Slam
Up for sale is a 26mm leather watch strap made using new baseball glove leather called "Grand Slam" from the legendary Horween Tannery. This leather is a relatively new tannage that Horween started making to give players more color options for their gloves. What it means for you and I is that you now can get the feel of a baseball glove in a watch strap but with another color option.
The strap measures: 78mm x 130mm x ~5.2 mm thick. The strap was hand stitched with black Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available. Edges have been dyed black to match the thread, then burnished smooth. Dyeing edges is way better than edge painting, which will eventually wear off. Because I don't have PVD buckles in 26mm, this strap comes with a custom Mott stainless steel screw-in pre-V buckle that I torched to get this iridescent purple effect.
This strap looks amazing just from the color combo, but this particular part of the hide reveals a bit of the hardships that the cow must've gone through, that show up in the bumps and marks shown in this part of the leather.
This strap will match nearly any watch, but will work especially well for larger watches such as Panerai, Kaventsmann, Ennebi.
