Up for sale is an all handmade custom order 26mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
This one of a kind baseball glove strap was made from a 6 Finger Jackie Robinson autograph baseball glove. It’s hard to overestimate the impact of Jackie Robinson. He was the first African American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era. Robinson broke the color line when he started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. The Dodgers signing Robinson heralded the end of racial segregation in professional baseball, which had relegated black players to the Negro leagues since the 1880s. On the field, he was a 6x MLB All Star, NL MVP, Rookie of the Year, batting champion, World Series Champion, a Monument Park honoree and his #42 is retired by every MLB team.
This baseball glove strap measures 26mm (no taper), 78 mm x 121 mm x ~5.4 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with red Tiger thread, the best waxed synthetic thread available. This strap features the “Jackie Robison” autograph on the short side and the “Nylon Stitched Full Grain Cowhide” logo on the long side. The strap comes with one large floating keeper “6 Finger”. The first hole is 50mm from the lug. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
