Up for sale is an all handmade 26mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap.
I made this strap from a vintage Wilson Made in USA, Ron Perranoski baseball glove. Perranoski was an American professional baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball as a left-handed relief pitcher from 1961 to 1973, most prominently as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers for whom he appeared in three World Series and, with the Minnesota Twins teams that won two consecutive American League Western Division titles. He also played for the Detroit Tigers and the California Angels. He was a 4 time World Series Champion and a 2 time save leader in the American League.
This baseball glove strap measures 26mm (no taper), 82 mm x 132 mm x ~4.0 mm thick. I hand stitched this strap with sapphire blue Tiger thread, the best waxed synthetic thread available.
This strap features “PAT NO. 2231204” and a Catalog number on the short side and the “Ron Perranoski” autograph on the long side. The strap comes with one large floating keeper, “Wilson Made in USA”. The first hole is 55mm from the lug, to preserve more of the logo. Starting at 50mm from the lug is normal. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott screw-in Pre-V style stainless steel buckle. I also have custom Mott bronze and black PVD buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
Sizing: Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick. If you’re on the fence, I can try the strap on one of my watches. If you’re still not sure, I’d suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
Most of my straps will also work with Apple watches. I can test fit adapters on them to make sure there is enough clearance. Please ask before purchasing.
