28mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap Rawlings for Immelmann Kaventsmann VDB

The glove used for this strap was a Heart of the Hide Rawlings baseball glove.  These Heart of the Hide gloves sell for well over $200 when new and like any glove they get better with age.  According to a site online (justgloves), Heart of the Hide gloves are cut from the top 5% of all Rawlings US steerhide to provide unbeatable structure, perfect break-in, and season-after-season performance.  

This baseball glove strap measures 28mm (no taper), 85 mm x 145 mm x ~4.5 mm thick.   I stitched this strap with black Tiger thread, the best waxed polyester thread available.  Edges were burnished smooth.  

This strap features “Professional Player” on the buckle side and “Rawlings” on the long side.  The strap comes with three floating keepers: “Gold Glove”, “Toe Lite” and the strap that was used on the glove to tighten the glove to your hand.  The first hole is 60 mm from the lug end.   Extra holes can be punched upon request.  I should also note that the hole for the tang and the holes made on the strap are 4mm.  

The strap will not come with a 28mm buckle, as I don’t have any!  Keep in mind the note about the hole size when considering a buckle to put on it.  Given the color of the leather and black thread, this strap will look amazing on any watch - steel, titanium or bronze.

Sizing:  Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick.  If you’re on the fence, I suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
