20mm OD Green Military Canvas G-10 Zulu pass through watch strap antique brass bronze
Up for sale is a new 20mm Handmade Military Canvas G-10 style, pass through Watch Strap. I can’t call these by the name that’s the acronym for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization due to some BS copyright.
I started making these straps because I didn’t see anyone else making this style of strap using canvas from issued military bags. These straps are robust and unique.
As you can probably see in the pics, one side of these straps has a little bit of fraying. I make these by folding over the canvas, then stitching the perimeter. So, one half is rolled, and the other half is cut. There will be a small amount of fraying over time, which is something I really like in canvas straps. If you’re not into seeing the little bit of fraying, you can singe the edges as they fray.
The strap measures ~10.5" (11” is standard) and ~1.5 mm thick and features antique brass hardware. I hand stitched this strap with waxed bronze synthetic thread.
Please note that I only use one loop at the slide through location. My experience is that the extra loop just makes noise and isn't useful.
