Up for sale is a new 24mm Handmade Black Leather G-10 Military style, pass through Watch Strap. I can’t call these by the name that’s the acronym for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization due to some BS copyright.
The strap is currently XL length (12") however if you’d like the strap to be “normal” length (11”), I will cut it shorter. Please confirm either way when you place the order. Once I know the length of the strap, I’ll finish adding holes (depending on length). I use a few nylon nat… G-10’s as a model.
The leather used for this strap is Badalassi Carlo Waxy. Rocky Mountain leather describes the leather this way:
This veg tan leather is their top grade, it is full grain and has a nice supple feel with a small amount of firmness. This leather has a unique rustic pull-up that adds beautiful depth to the leather and makes for an amazing patina as it ages.
Because this strap is black, it will not have any pull up, but I still love it for these straps because of the feel and look of the leather.
The thickness of this strap is between 1.2mm - 1.3 mm and features real bronze hardware. I finally figured out a patina process, so I gave the hardware a slight patina. I hand stitched this strap using waxed bronze synthetic thread.
Other things to note about this handmade strap, is that I add a thin crease line along the edge of the strap. Additionally, both sides of the edges were beveled and burnished. Please note that I only use one loop at the slide through location. My experience is that the extra loop just makes noise and isn't useful.
