Up for sale is a new 22mm Handmade Leather Watch Strap.
The leather used for this strap is a Mediterranean Blue super soft veg tan leather from the Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Tuscany, Italy, called “Mud”. Don’t let the name fool you, this leather is fantastic. Maybe mud means something different in Italian?! This leather has an amazing feel in hand and on the wrist. The strap has a soft firmness, and immediately feels like a strap that’s gotten worn in over the years.
Rocky Mountain leather describes the leather this way:
This veg tan leather is their top grade, it is full grain and has a nice supple feel with a small amount of firmness. The leather has a beautiful rustic grain with a beautiful depth to the leather color. The veg tan will have an amazing patina as it ages.
This strap measures 22mm (no taper), 80 mm x 130 mm x ~4.7 mm thick. I saddle stitched this strap with cream Tiger thread - the best waxed synthetic thread available. Edges were burnished smooth. The first hole is 50 mm from the lug end. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott stainless steel screw-in Pre-V style buckle. I also have custom Mott black PVD and bronze buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
