Up for sale is a new 26mm Handmade Leather Watch Strap.
The leather used for this strap is a distressed brown leather from the Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Tuscany, Italy. This leather is truly unique to any other new leather that I’ve worked with. It is a classical oiled vacchetta, made from the cow’s squared shoulders. Each hide is handworked/distressed by an artisan at the tannery, so each hide will have its own unique characteristics. This leather does have a satin type of finish, making the leather slightly shiny. I’ve tried to avoid this in pictures, to highlight the colors and distressed areas, but it is present.
This strap measures 26mm (no taper), 79 mm x 131 mm x ~3.4 mm thick. Despite being a little thinner than my other straps, it is slightly firmer, so it will balance out the weight of a steel Panerai, for instance. I saddle stitched this strap with waxed bronze synthetic thread. Edges were burnished smooth. The first hole is 50 mm from the lug end. Extra holes can be punched upon request.
The strap comes with a custom Mott stainless steel screw-in Pre-V style buckle. I also have custom Mott black PVD and bronze buckles, which can be exchanged at no additional charge. If not specified, the strap will ship with the buckle as shown.
